Membership & Court Reserve

What is Court Reserve?

Court Reserve is our court management system that can be used to:

  • View upcoming events
  • Sign up for events
  • Reserve courts
  • Manage your account

Creating an account on Court Reserve is easy and free.

Why Court Reserve?

Court Reserve provides the necessary tools the Reno Tennis Center needs to manage the courts and classes efficiently and effectively. Anyone can create a free account to see court and class availability. Players are now able make reservations and payments for courts and classes online. Court Reserve provides several customizable options to help our courts run smoothly and fairly for all players. Players are now able to stay in the know, if they opt in to do so, by receiving notifications and global announcements. These are just a few of the benefits Court Reserve assists with at the Reno Tennis Center.

How do I become a Member?

You will need to create your account and select a membership through our online member management system called Court Reserve. We offer FREE and paid memberships.

Can a group of friends sign up for a Family Membership?

No. A family is a group of one or more parents (spouses/partners) and their children living together as a unit.

Booking & Costs

What does it cost to play?

Everyone is able to drop-in for play at the Reno Tennis Center. Players pay $3 per person per reservation and $3 per drop-in. When making a court reservation, the Member booking the court reservation is responsible for guest fees.

TNRS offers varying levels of membership, including a FREE Guest Membership, with different rates for reservations/activities. See our Membership Page to get a full description of each membership and cost.

What if I can’t afford the court fees?

TNRS and the City of Reno is committed to providing recreational opportunities to all residents regardless of economic circumstances. For this reason, a limited fund fee assistance program is available to those who qualify. If you cannot afford the court fees we encourage you to apply. Scholarship Recipients of the Health and Wellness Pass play for free. Simply present your qualification letter to staff when checking in at the office.

How do I book a court?

All Reno Tennis Center Members (including Guest Members) may reserve a court in advance through the Court Reserve system.

Guest Members are able to book a court online 2 days in advance. Guests without a Court Reserve account may also come to the club or call/email 24 hours in advance to reserve a court if a court is available.

What is the court reservation cancellation policy? No-show policy?

We understand that your plans change or emergencies happen. Please check out our detailed cancellation policy which differs per event.

Court Reservations

Private court rentals must be canceled at least 1 hour in advance to avoid the session being charged in full to your account.

All Other Events

Leagues, tournaments, round robins, clinics, and lessons are all subject to event specific cancellation policies indicated at time of registration.

How long can I reserve a court for? Can I make 2 consecutive reservations?

All courts must be reserved in 30 minute increments. Singles reservations can only be reserved for up to 1 hour consecutively. Doubles reservations can only be reserved for up to 2 hours consecutively. Group reservations can only be reserved for up to 3 hours consecutively.

No, you cannot make 2 consecutive reservations but if no one is waiting to play and there is no reservation scheduled after your reservation time has expired, you may continue to play.

How do I rent the ball machine and what does it cost?

When you make a court reservation you can add the ball machine to your court rental. Ball machine is $12 for an hour on top of the court rental fee.

If I make a court reservation and play with other members and guests, who pays for the fees?

The Member booking the court reservation is responsible for any remaining guest fees.

Reminder, we have multiple membership options to meet our community’s needs. We also offer a Guest Membership for FREE. 

Can I do an event or book multiple courts at a time for my group?

Yes, you may do both. Below is additional info and our contact info to book your event and courts.

Organized Play & Event Fees:
Coordinators pay based on the number of players attending. All scheduling must be done through the office.
*Approval and fees may vary depending on the scope of the organized play & event. USTA tentative start times: 11 am April-October & noon November-March.
*Instruction is only available through Team Members at the Reno Tennis Center.

Guests/Non-Members

What is the Guest/Non-Member policy?

Everyone can play at the Reno Tennis Center. We love guests and suspect that it won’t take long for a guest to become a member as we offer a FREE Guest Membership! Until that time, Guests are welcome to join in all Reno Tennis Center activities. Guests do not have the same court reservation privileges as our members who have created an account online with Court Reserve. For court reservations, guests are welcome to walk-in or call/email the front desk up to 24 hours in advance to see what is available. Note, there are no booking restrictions for our Guests to book Lessons, Classes, Camps, Ball Machines, Leagues and other events. Please call our Front Desk at (775) 689-2975 or simply create an account through Court Reserve to start enrolling in all classes and make reservations today.

Types of Play

Do you offer private lessons?

Absolutely! We have a variety of Certified Instructors available to provide a wide-assortment of lessons and clinics. Whether you are an experienced player looking to get better at an element of your game or new to the game of Tennis and Pickleball, we will have it all. Use the Court Reserve system to book your lesson today!

What is Drop-In Play?

We have unscheduled “drop-in play” where players can play without partners. Players rotate in and out to mix/match with other players of similar skill levels, creating a fun, dynamic, and social environment. If you do not want to play with different partners, and prefer to stay with your group, you should reserve a court instead.

Do you host tournaments?

You bet! What’s a Tennis and Pickleball club without tournaments?! Please check the Reno Tennis Center Home page, Court Reserve, or social media for our upcoming tournaments.

Equipment and Attire

Do I have to bring my own racquet/paddle and balls?

We have plenty of TNRS racquets, paddles, and balls for you to use while at the facility. In addition, we will have demo racquets/paddles available for you to try during lessons and classes. We also sell a variety of Balls and Racquets/Paddles in the Reno Tennis Center Office. Just bring your game!

Will you have demo racquets/demos for me to try before I buy?

Yes, we will have a variety of racquets/paddles available to demo that can be checked out at our front desk for you to try during lessons and classes.

What is the proper attire?

Court shoes with non-marking soles are required. You can wear just about any athletic wear to play including yoga pants, athletic shorts, sweatpants, wicking apparel, t-shirts, skirts, etc. T-shirts must be kept on while at the Reno Tennis Center.

Facility & Amenities

Do you have a Pro Shop?

We do! The TNRS Pro Shop will have a variety of merchandise available for purchase including shoes as well as equipment to both demo and purchase. Our Pro Shop is located inside the office.

Do you allow pets?

Pets are not allowed at the Reno Tennis Center.

Can I hold a private party or corporate event at the club?

Please do! Our facility is available to help you host a great private party or corporate team-building event. You can bring in your own food and drinks. The majority of the Reno Tennis Center can be rented, or you can just pick a few courts. We can help you program play time, instruction and activities—all our private rentals are custom designed for your specific needs. Please contact us to talk through the amenities we can provide to help you make your event amazing.
