How Camps Connect to the Junior Tennis Pathway

Every junior tennis camp feeds directly into the Tennis Nation Junior Pathway.

We use the same development model across camps and year-round programs:

  • Red Ball — early learners, ages and stage appropriate
  • Orange Ball — rally development and movement
  • Green Ball — court coverage and point construction
  • Yellow Ball — full court tactical play
  • High School Prep — competitive readiness
  • Competitive — tournament pathway players

Camps help players enter or advance within the pathway with clear coach feedback and placement guidance.

This is development with direction.

Parent FAQ — Junior Tennis Camps in Reno

What age can my child start tennis camp?

Most junior tennis camps begin around age 4, with age-appropriate equipment and court sizes for younger players.

Does my child need prior tennis experience?

No. We offer beginner through advanced groupings. New players are welcome.

How are groups formed?

Players are grouped primarily by skill level and secondarily by age to keep training productive.

What should my child bring?

Tennis shoes, athletic clothing, water bottle, hat, sunscreen, and a racquet if they have one.

Are racquets provided if needed?

Yes. Loaner racquets are available for new players.

Are camps beginner friendly?

Yes. Many campers are first-time or early-stage players.

Do you offer advanced or competitive groups?

Yes. Higher-level juniors are grouped together and given more advanced training and match play.

Are there half-day and full-day options?

Most seasonal camps offer both formats depending on the week and demand.

What happens in bad weather?

Player safety comes first. Coaches adjust drills and formats when possible and use covered areas if available. If court conditions are unsafe or unplayable, that camp day is cancelled and families are notified promptly with next-step options.

Can siblings or friends be grouped together?

Requests can be noted and are accommodated when skill levels are compatible.

How do refunds or credits work?

If a camp session is cancelled by us due to weather or unsafe court conditions, an account credit is issued to your CourtReserve account. For unforeseeable circumstances, we also provide account credits when notice is given. Credits can be applied to future camps, classes, or programs.

Do camps help players move into lessons or leagues?

Yes. Camps are one of the main entry points into our junior pathway, classes, and match play programs.

Give Your Player a Structured Start
